Florida wine bar coming to Main Line

Carmel Cafe & Wine Bar - which started in Tampa less than three years ago and now has four locations in the Tampa Bay area - has a lease at 372 W. Lancaster Ave. in Wayne, previously the site of HogFish Bar & Grill and its predecessor, Flavor.

Another Carmel location is being considered near the Wegmans store at Street Road and Route 611 in Warrington.

The entire restaurant - from the back-of-the-house operations to the guest menus - is run off of iPads. See this case study by Apple.

If permitting goes smoothly, Ryan says, the Wayne location should open in July or August.

There's more coming to Radnor Township, by the way. (When I initially wrote about this project back in January, I incorrectly located it in Wynnewood.)
