End of the reel for Bistrot La Minette's movie nights

The bistro at Sixth and Bainbridge Streets has lost the lease on its courtyard.

Bistrot La Minette's dinner-and-a-movie nights - held outdoors in the courtyard next to the restaurant on Sixth Street near Bainbridge - are one of the city's summertime charms.

It comes to a close this week. Chef Peter Woolsey owns his restaurant building, but the courtyard was always leased.

Bistrot La Minette general manager Brad Histand says the lease went to a month-to-month agreement in January. The owners sold the property to the operators of Bainbridge Barrel House on the corner of the other side. Since condos are being added to the corner building, Bistrot La Minette has to clear out by July 31.

This week's last picture show is Micmacs and screenings will be at 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 22 and Thursday, July 25 and at 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 26.
