Brothers Lou and Joey Campanaro of the Village Belle in Queen Village were on Iron Chef America last weekend, competing against brothers Marc and Bryan Forgione. (Outcome? Let's just say Marc Forgione is an Iron Chef for a reason.)
There's a rerun Saturday, March 10, at 5 p.m. and the Campanaros will prepare a few of the dishes from the episode.
As you can see, the secret ingredient was Parmigiana-Reggiano.
- Oysters Parmigiano Clam bake baked with spinach, parmigiano; on top of lobster, tomato & corn salad
- Parm “Parm” slab of Parm. Reggiano, lightly breaded and pan fried served with marinara sauce and arugula salad
- Parmigiano Cavatelli with Parmigiano Broth & truffle essence
- Parmigiano Gelato
