The Dutch: Lachman and Styer opening in Pennsport

Breakfast and lunch in Pennsport.

Two of the city's top chefs are getting together for breakfast in South Philadelphia.

Lee Styer (Fond) and Joncarl Lachman (Noord, Neuf) have signed to take over the nook at Fourth and Cross Streets in Pennsport that was Fourth & Cross before its quick demise last year.

They're calling it The Dutch - serving breakfast, lunch and brunch when it soft-opens April 14 after some redecoration. The aim is warm and homey.

The idea was cooked up in Fond's kitchen. "Lee makes a great omelet," Lachman said, lamenting the fact that Fond does not serve brunch (nor, for that matter, does Neuf).

Menu is here. That ring bologna is in homage of Styer's Pennsylvania Dutch roots.

Opening preview party starts at 6 p.m. April 11.
