Clearing the record on Dr. Phil

POSTED: Wednesday, February 24, 2010, 6:06 PM

Correcting a post from last night:

Dr. Phil McGraw did not sit down with Penn Valley's Michael and Holly Robbins, whose son Blake has been at the center of the laptop-surveillance case at Harriton High.

But the Dr. Phil show yesterday did interview two people with ties to the Lower Merion School District as part of a show about the controversy, a spokesman for the Dr. Phil show said.

Dr. Phil producers used the “Talk Philly” set at CBS3 yesterday to do a live “talk-back” with Phil McGraw, who was on set in Los Angeles.

An air date for the interview, which will be accompanied by news footage, has not been announced.

Meanwhile, the family's lawsuit against Lower Merion School District has made Wikipedia.

So the family can say whatever they want, and people are happy to jump to the conclusion that all their allegations are fact, while the school district can't say anything without clearing it with the Robbins' family's lawyer first on six hours' notice...and now the family's going on TV with Dr. Phil? If the case stands on its own merits, why is Dr. Phil the first stop?

Judge Judy could take care of this case in about 10 minutes. She's smarter than the rest of us on our best day. This ain't no tea dance!

If you can't afford your lifestyle, why are you still living in a million dollar home? If you can't afford the $55 fee, why did the kid take home a laptop? Now, having said that, I do think everyone should have known that the laptop security feature could take pictures. That's non-negotiable. I too think it is about the money now...

Did anyone read in the last article how their lawyer actually sued them not to long ago but he took on another case for them. These people are everything that is wrong with this country. And will someone please punch Phil in the face!

Maybe it is about the money, but Lower Merion was the one who stuck their bare tukis way out. I do not want schools pulling stunts like this on anyone.
