Doug Kammerer to leave CBS3

CBS3/CW57 will lose morning meteorologist Doug Kammerer this summer.

He's bound for WRC, the NBC station in Washington, D.C., where he will become chief meteorologist. Kammerer grew up in Fairfax County, Va.

Kammerer came to town to work at NBC10 in 2003. He joined CBS3 in mid-2007 but had to sit out about six months due to a noncompete clause.

CBS3 has not named a replacement.

The station also lost morning co-anchor Liz Keptner recently.

Easily the best-looking weatherman ever on the Philadelphia scene. Good luck in DC, Doug. Maybe you can take Hurricane and Bolaris with you?!

Way to much emphasis on the weather on all local braodcasts. Yes, I know, it's probably the most popular segment, but, really, does a local network need four weathercasters? I remember when Dr. Francis Davis worked solo on Channel 6. And he was right more than he was wrong.

BIG in Japan thinks Bob Kelly's voice is worse than stale coffee..my question - have you ever listened to Sarge try to do the Phillies..stale coffee oesn't even begin to describe that one! Sarge needs to be outta here!
