DanDan opens a location on Main Line
The Main Line menu, larger and more ambitious, reflects Sichuan and Taiwanese cooking.
After two years in Center City, Kevin and Catherina "Cat" Huang of DanDan restaurant have opened a Main Line location. Grand opening is May 31.
It's in the former Ella's American Bistro, tucked just off Lancaster Avenue at 214 Sugartown Rd. in Devon Square, though the mailing address is Wayne. It also happens to be five minutes from the Huangs' home.
This location, with a bar in the foyer, has a chic, contemporary look with oversize windows that fling out into a patio; it's also twice the size of the original location on 16th Street near Sansom.
The menu, also larger and more ambitious, reflects Sichuan and Taiwanese cooking. Dandan noodles, the spicy dish topped with minced pork, is a specialty.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
