Closings, hither and yon
Amid what seems to be a boom time, a few busts.
Things are great in restaurant land, right?
We seem to be in the middle of a restaurant boomlet.
But if you ask the owners of longtime restaurants, "How's biz?" you'll hear all sorts of grumbling.
A couple of veterans went dark recently:
Pad Thai Shack, on 18th Street near Sansom for 11 years
Trinacria, on DeKalb Pike in Blue Bell for 16 years
And one fairly newcomer, The Saloon in Jeffersonville, which lasted just 18 months.
