Circles, the South Philly BYOB that many cognoscenti deem the best Thai restaurant in the city, is coming to Northern Liberties.
Owner Alex Boonphaya tells me the location of the satellite will be 812 N. Second St., a former pizza shop.
He's hoping to open in March or April.

Hey Hotelguy, do me a favor, every time a post comes up about the most vibrant, upwardly mobile neighbor hood in Philly, can you please write "YUCK!!!!". I just can't seem to place these stories without that expert analysis. Spoiler
The place will do amazingly well. Craig LeBan did an awesome review. There are hardly any great or even nice Thai restaurants outside of downtown unwelcoming areas. Northern Liberties is the place to go and hang out, walk around, get some great Thai food, which there are none of until Circles opens up, and it's not stuck in the piazza where you can't move around, smell everyone elses cooking smells... when you go to Circles new location it will have it's own identity..I am expecting aa line out the door. Welcome to the new owner of Circles, to our neighborhood, we thank you for bringing a little piece of Thailand to these other generic restaurants. I for one am so excited, I can walk there, it's in an incredible location and we..meaning all my friends andf I are awaiting your opening. Good Luck in 2012 and everyone on here and let's try to show a little love..we already have enough bad things happening in the world SO.... HATERS do not apply go somewhere else, let us get our wonderful Thai restaurant open quicly so we can enjoy his masterpieces! Everyone have a joyous new year, try being a little niner, and try a random act of kindness! It comes back. I love Thai food Mr. Alex Boonphaya, good luck and open quickly!!! DUBAIPHOENIX
