Cicchetteria coming to Rittenhouse Square

Exclusive: A former Starr chef is behind this Italian small-plater.

Cicchetteria coming to Rittenhouse Square

Bill Murphy, a former chef at Blue Angel, the Old City Continental and Chelsea Hotel in Atlantic City (where he wowed C. LaBan), is part of a team redoing the now-closed Valentino on the Square as an Italian small-plater/wine bar.

Name = Cicchetteria.

"Fun, sharable-type food, including pizzas," says Murphy. The idea is to get people in more than once a week.

Running the front of the house will be the dapper Andrea Luca Rossi, former director of operations at Girasole.

Opening = October.
