Entrepreneurs Shawn Darragh and Matyson chef Ben Puchowitz have secured a location for CHeU Noodle Bar, the ramen-centric concept they've been testing at Matyson.

They're opening at the old Maru Global (255 S. 10th St., Washington Square West) before the end of February. It will seat about 30 people, mostly in a bar setting around an open kitchen. They're going for a liquor license. Darragh says they'll open while the license is pending.

Menu will feature at least three sections: vegetables, snacks and noodles.

Update: Washington Square West's Zoning & Governmental Affairs Committee will hear the liquor application at its meeting, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 1001 Locust St. (the Dorrance Hamilton Building), Room 224
