Chefs move at Pub & Kitchen,, and High Street on Market

Chefs on the move: Steve Eckerd, left, is at Pub & Kitchen. Eli Collins, center, is now at and Jon Nodler, right, is now executive chef at High Street on Market.

Three high-profile kitchens have announced changes in chef personnel:

Jon Nodler has officially moved crosstown from and in the AKA Rittenhouse Square to become executive chef at High Street on Market, in Old City. This merely is a formality. He's been there for a while. He now carries the executive chef title, which co-owner Eli Kulp previously held.

Eli Collins has left his post of four years at Pub & Kitchen to take over as executive chef at and - all of which are operated by High Street Hospitality Group, owned by Ellen Yin and Kulp.

Collins' departure created an opening at Pub & Kitchen, at 20th and Lombard Streets, which Steve Eckerd assumes, effective next week.

Eckerd, a Culinary Institute of America grad who trained at Daniel in New York, arrived in Philadelphia in 2010. His local resume includes Vetri, Osteria, Le Bec-Fin, Little Fish, and Lacroix at the Rittenhouse. He's expected to maintain Pub & Kitchen's gastropub focus.

Though the moves have been in the works for a while, both restaurant groups timed their announcements to this week.
