This America thing just didn't work out for Sofitel chef Kevin Levett.
He's going back to England after 16 months.
The affable, Australia-born chef, whose previous post was at the Novotel London West, had been planning to import his wife and two teenage kids, but the move just never materialized.
During a recent holiday back home, it became apparent to the family that moving everyone here was not in the best interest of the children as they were happy there and doing well in their school programmes.
He will remain at the hotel (whose restaurant is Liberte) during the search for a new exec chef.
