Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation, the child-hunger-relief benefit that is one of the high points of the food calendar, will return in 2013 with a few differences.

They're moving it to Sunday night (April 28) from the traditional Monday night, and will start an hour earlier - at 4 p.m. for the VIP hour and at 5 p.m. for the general public. The venue will be the ballroom at the Hotel Monaco at Fifth and Chestnut Streets.

Chef chair this year will be David Katz. Last year's chef chair, Kevin Sbraga, will be honorary chef chair.

For $85 for general admission and $135 for VIP, attendees get great food, cocktails, wines, and beers, plus a silent auction. Early Bird Tickets, running now through Feb. 8, offer a $10 discount. Tickets here

The No Kid Hungry campaign in 2012 locally supported Philabundance, Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, The Food Trust, and the Pennsylvania Hunger Action Committee.
