Center City Sips returning

"Ginger" is the secret word this summer as Center City District Sips returns for its warm-weather series of Wednesday happy hours
It runs June 3 through Sept. 2 with 80-plus bars and restaurants offering $4 wines, $3 beers, half-price appetizers, and $5 cocktails that feature this year's promotion partner, 2 Gingers Irish Whiskey. Participating restaurants will also offer 15 percent off dinner after happy hour.
The Sips kick-off party will be 5 to 7 p.m. May 27 at the Marathon Grill at 19th and Market Streets.

In a first-time twist of the calendar, the Aug. 5 and Aug. 12 Sips outings will run concurrently with Center City District Restaurant Week (which runs Aug. 2-7 and Aug. 9-14 to avoid scheduling conflicts in September).
