Celebrity chefs on Eagles' menus at the Linc

Marc Vetri, Jose Garces and Peter McAndrews are working with Aramark at Lincoln Financial Field.

No one really knows who the Eagles will start at quarterback, but at least we'll soon know what fans will find on the menus this season at Lincoln FInancial Field.

On Tuesday, Aramark will formally introduce new partnerships with Philly chefs Marc Vetri, Jose Garces and Peter McAndrews.

It's part of the "celeb chefs at the stadium" rage that's sweeping pro sports. (See Travel and Leisure mag's piece on it here.)

Garces, the Iron Chef whose Distrito taco truck is stationed on game days in Head House Plaza outside the Linc, will offer three Distrito-branded tacos to fans in premium seats.

Marc Vetri (Vetri, Alla Spina, Amis) will have three Alla Spina-branded items, including his signature mortadella hot dogs, in the premium seats.

Peter McAndrews (chef/owner of Modo Mio, Monsu, Paesano's and Popolino) will sell five sandwiches in the clubs and concourse. The Linc will retain the services of Tony Luke's and Chickie's & Pete's.

RIck Brown, Aramark's general manager at the Linc, said chefs from both Aramark and the restaurants visited each other's kitchens and worked on look, taste and quality control.

"This is what we love to do as chefs," Brown said, adding that Aramark at the Linc makes many foods from scratch, including Bolognese and ricotta.
