Cedar Craft & Kitchen on its way to Glenolden

The former Ashland Pub, 1061 Cedarwood Rd., Glenolden.

Restaurant veterans Paul DiBona of Pepperoncini in Conshohocken and Sam Arbitman and Rich Fattori of Moonshine in South Philly are taking over Delco's former Briarcliffe Bar & Grill with Cedar Craft & Kitchen (1061 Cedarwood Rd., Glenolden).

Cedar Craft & Kitchen, to open later this month, is intended as a casual, upbeat, neighborhood-focused Italian restaurant and tavern.

DiBona, as chef, will oversee the menu, which will include putino - a riff on the Quebec specialty poutine, which is potato wedges and tomato-braised pork over the customary cheese curds.

The restaurant, open nightly for dinner at first, will seat 40, while the 20-seat bar will offer cocktails, a small wine list, and 12 taps featuring local and national craft beer on draft as well as bottles and cans.

There will be live music a few nights a week, and outdoor sidewalk seating will be available, weather permitting.

Lunch will be added down the road.
