Loose Parts by Dave Blazek.

Valley Forge's Dave Blazek, who draws "Biz" in The Inquirer's Sunday Business section as well as "Loose Parts" in the Philadelphia Daily News (and other papers), is a nominee for a National Cartoonist Society Reuben Award.

"Loose Parts" is up for best newspaper panel, and Blazek's rivals are Tony Carillo of “FMinus” and Hilary Price's “Rhymes with Orange.”

"I’m sort of humbled and awed by being on a list with guys like Seth McFarlane and the people who made UP," says Blazek, who works for Philadelphia Media Holdings.

Awards will be handed out Memorial Day weekend.
