Mother's Day marked the debut of Blackfish's new operation in Stone Harbor (9628 Third Ave., 609-967-9100), the Jersey Shore sibling to Chip Roman's original in Conshohocken. Roman previously was in Avalon.

The 200-seater, with a 75-seat bar, used to be Henny's.

Roman and partner John Sprandio brought in Stokes Architecture, which did Philly's Continental Mid-town and Atlantic City's Buddakan and Continental.

It's open for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. Here's the dinner menu; starters are $10 to $19, entrees $28 to $39, desserts $7 to $12.

The kicker: This spot won't be permanent. This Blackfish is the first phase of a three-phase project called Shelter Haven Resort & Spa. This fall,  they'll start construction on a "green" hotel across the street. Blackfish Stone Harbor will move into the hotel when it is completed in February 2011.
