Bitar's takes over Perrier's Art of Bread

Amin Bitar - scion of the Bitar's Middle Eastern food family - is now running the Art of Bread, the cafe and wholesale location that Georges Perrier opened nearly two years ago in Narberth.

But Perrier himself isn't involved in the day-to-day operation. He still owns Georges' in Wayne.

Bitar says he's expanding the wholesale baking operation by adding a large bakery in Sharon Hill, Delaware County.

Everything else will stay the same at both the Art of Bread and at Bitar's shop at 10th and Federal Streets, he told me.
