Daily News "Streetgazing" photographer Ruben Harley joins culinary forces with Supper restaurant executive chef/owner Mitch Prensky for a fund-raising fried chicken potluck dinner Sept. 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the restaurant's back yard at 926 South St.

Sample Big Rube's classic fried chicken and Prensky's pastrami fried chicken, along with a variety of Southern-style side dishes, plus apple pie, sweet tea and Heineken for $30 a person.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Kenny Gamble's Universal Companies' Schools.

Although Prensky's culinary props are well-known (he's a French Culinary Institute grad, for one), Big Rube learned his way around a stove from his grandmother, then honed his skills by selling baked goods at Philly barber shops in the late '90s. His recipe for turkey lasagna was featured in Sports Illustrated.
