Biba opening Friday

Biba, the next generation of wine bar from the team behind Center City's two Tria locations, is firm on its 4 p.m. Friday opening in the Left Bank apartments at 3131 Walnut St. (215-222-2422).

Biba will differ from Tria by offering more wines (26 by the glass), fewer beers (10), and an even more casual cafe menu of sandwiches and salads.

Also, all of Biba’s 32 seats are communal, whether at the bar, a single table, or drink rails.

Regular hours will be noon to midnight Sundays through Thursdays and noon to 1 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Here's the menu.

Here's the wine/beer list.
