Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery has closed, pending a sale
Casualty of divorce. New owner on the way.
Saying she's ready to start a new chapter in her life, Erin Wallace has closed Barren Hill Brewery & Restaurant in Lafayette Hill, which she opened in late 2013 on the longtime site of the General Lafayette Inn.
She says she has a prospective buyer, whose identity she would not disclose.
The other restaurants are unaffected, she said, adding that she has placed staff there and with other bars.
With Philly Beer Week coming up, she said, "it made sense to focus on the other two businesses now." The sale should be final in 90 days.
