The Comcast SportsNetser is sidelined after banging up his heel in the surf off LBI.
Michael Barkann of Comcast SportsNet will be out much of this week after surgery to insert two screws in his left heel, which he banged up while frolicking with his son in the surf off LBI.
"The heel bone just came off at the end of my Achilles tendon," Barkann reports. In tech terms: Displaced calcaneus avulsion fracture.
His main medical issue: keeping the leg elevated during 90 minutes of Daily News Live.
