Bait & Switch: Port Richmond gets a seafood bar

It's a corner bar all the way, and the nautical theme is subtle.

Joe Beckham, riding high with the Fishtown L.A.-style taco bar Loco Pez, is adding an old-fashioned seafood-theme corner bar to his portfolio.

Debut is Thursday, June 16.

Decor is corner bar all the way, and the nautical theme is subtle.

Levis aficionados might gravitate toward the Port Richmond Surf & Turf, which is a house-made fish cake and hot sausage with pepper hash on a long roll. (Pass the Champ Cherry.)

Punches predominate on the drink menu, which includes wines, local spirits, 10 beers on tap, and plenty of cans.

Menu is here.

Hours are 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily, and the kitchen is open till midnight. Brunch is on the way, and lunch is a possibility.

Meanwhile, a second Loco Pez is planned for 20th and Bainbridge Streets, but it's a way off.
