"We are the Christmas station," said B101 general manager Blaise Howard, who said he and his team had planned since January to roll out an HD/Web presence before the holidays.
He conceded that since WOGL went the ho-ho-ho route, he had no reason to hold back.
You can listen on a computer or on an HD radio.Howard won't say when B101's conventional terrestrial signal (101.1) will go to an all-Christmas format.
It's also unclear which stations in town might join B101 in all-Christmas and, of course, when they'd do it.
Rival Greater Media flipped the format of its 2008 Christmas station last weekend to sports (97.5).
It's possible that GM would do Christmas on middling-rated Ben 95.7. And Clear Channel could try it on underperforming WISX (106.1).
