The space at 25th and Aspen Streets that was Aspen is coming back after a year-plus layoff.

Owner Jud Bertolf has picked a new name, after one of his favorite trivia questions: "What is the name of the bar in the Rocky movies?"

That would be Lucky 7.

Unlike Aspen's global focus, Lucky 7 Tavern will carry an American tavern menu ("I hate the word gastropub") from chef Sean Pashley, whose past includes Eulogy and a stint on the reality show Average Joe 2.

Opening date is not yet known, but it should be within a month.

#hat tip to Suzanne at Beerlass, who noticed activity in the space the other day.
