Apple just got around, moments ago, to announcing that its store at 1607 Walnut St. will open at 5 p.m. Friday 7/30.

The company will give away 1,000 T-shirts to the first 1,000 customers to visit the store. ]

These t-shirts are unique to the store and will not be printed again, so they're a bit of a fan favorite and a great souvenir, according to an Apple spokeswoman.

Freebies always bring out the WORST crowd -- i.e., the dregs of society. Thanks, Apple -- I won't be there on Friday now. Good luck with that.
