Ansill quits Pinefish in Wash West

Ansill reached out Thursday night to inform that he had departed.

The David Ansill era at Pinefish, the sumptuous seafooder that opened around Memorial Day weekend at 12th and Pine Streets, is over.

The well-traveled chef reached out Thursday night to inform that he had departed.

Don't expect the job to be vacant for long, suggests owner Peter Dissin. "I want to thank David Ansill for being our consulting chef since opening," Dissin said Friday morning. "Pinefish is committed to serving quality, innovative, consistent food in our casual and fun atmosphere."

Ansill, meanwhile, is looking. He had left Bar Ferdinand and the Good King Tavern in the spring.
