Marc Vetri, Jeff Benjamin, and Jeff Michaud are raising the stakes for their annual Great Chef's Event, which draws all sorts of famous chefs to their Osteria to call attention to Alex's Lemonade Stand.

Two years ago, it raised $150,000. Last year, it took in $300,000.

This year, the goal of the fund-raiser is a half-mill.

It's also growing out of Osteria. 

Date is June 15. The place is Urban Outfitters' headquarters at the Navy Yard; the company donated the space. (Ticket info to come.)

    my big fear is that this is no longer an intimate event and will more resemble large scale events where it is a mass of people and wont have a personal touch to it like it did before...
