A wedding with electricity

The Franklin Institute's CEO and the founder of Lights of Liberty are hitched.

Wyndmoor had a certain air of electricity Saturday night as Ann Shoemaker Meredith, 46, and Franklin Institute president Dennis M. Wint, 66, were married at their home.

They met in 2004 when Meredith, who until recently was CEO of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, headed Lights of Liberty, the nighttime show in the historic district that she cofounded in the 1990s.

Her children, Grace Reynell Meredith, 16, and Charles "Quint" Meredith V, 14, were maid of honor and best man. The Rev. Susan Peterson, a family friend who is pastor of Gloria Deo Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minn., officiated.

After a reception Sunday at the museum, they will honeymoon in Belize.
