A peek at the Starr-Pitsillides "pop-up" restaurant

Starting Tuesday, the chef-owner of Kanella gets set to cook for a bigger crowd on Washington Square.

A "pop-up" restaurant from Kanella chef-owner Konstantinos Pitsillides and Stephen Starr at Starr's Washington Square runs through Thursday (7/29).

The bare space was transformed overnight Monday into a suitably stylish dining space.

See the "look" and get into the kitchen through this video.

Here's the menu, which you'll notice is not Pitsillides' signature Greek Cypriot but another approach taking in eastern Mediterranean lands known as Levant.

The series started last month with Aimee Olexy and the crew from Talula's Table. (See Rick Nichols' story about that.)

A third pop-up, featuring Top Chef Angelo Sosa, is set for sometime in September.
