A hot weekend of food

Saturday (5/1) is also the City Restaurant Dine-Around in Wilmington as part of its restaurant week.

Saturday (5/1) and Sunday (5/2) is the Piazza at Schmidts' first restaurant weekend, during which 50-odd city eateries will set up in the piazza (Second Street, a block or so south of Girard Avenue). The piazza's farmer's market will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday (5/2) is start of the Food Trust's Headhouse Farmers’ Market (10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Second and Lombard Streets). Its fourth year, the Sunday market draws more than two dozen local-food vendors and thousands of shoppers.
