A taste of Wahlburgers, coming to Philly this year

Wahlburgers' food truck will be set up on the Atlantic City beach in front of Boardwalk Hall during the Blake Shelton/Lady Antebellum concert.

By the end of the year, Wahlburgers - the up-and-coming Boston-area burger bar fronted by brothers Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg and the subject of an A&E reality series - should be up and running in Center City Philly.

But first, you can taste the wares.

On Thursday, July 31, Wahlburgers' food truck will be set up on the Atlantic City beach in front of Boardwalk Hall during the Blake Shelton/Lady Antebellum concert, handing out free food.

The appearance is a promo for the premiere of Wahlburgers' second A&E season at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 13. It's not yet clear who if any of the Wahlbergs will be on-site.

The fledging chain's local rep, Artie Giordano, a native Philadelphian, says the group has two sites in mind - one downtown and the other in University City.

Giordano says they're even scouting for a signature burger, which they will call the Invincible Burger, after Mark Wahlberg's starring role in the bio-pic about Eagles walk-on Vince Papale.

Those interested can add their ideas on the Philadelphia Wahlburgers website.
