A 'repeat' of the Vendys

Winners of last year's and this year's contests will offer grub for sale Thursday night in front of the Art Museum.

A 'repeat' of the Vendys

Saturday is the 2012 Vendy Awards, coming to the lot at 39th and Market Streets. If you can't go, you're still in luck.

The winners of the 2011 and 2012 Philadelphia Vendy Awards will roll into Eakins Oval in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Thursday, Aug. 2 from 6 to 9 p.m.  for the first ever Winners’ Oval Event.

The Fairmount Park Conservancy, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, and the Street Vendor Project will sponsor this pay-as-you-go picnic.

Due are the 2011 Vendy Award winners Sweet Box, GiGi & Big R’s Cucina Zapata and the winners from this year’s Vendys.

Beer will be available for purchase from Sixpoint Brewery.

Rain date is Aug. 9.
