A rash of November restaurant openings
From doughnuts to duck, it's a mighty full plate.
November may be the busiest month for restaurant openings we have seen in years.
Years, I say.
11/1: Little Louie's BBQ at 505 Haddon Ave. in Collingswood
11/1: Bobby's Burger Palace's location in Cherry Hill Mall
11/3: Firecreek's Voorhees Town Center location
11/5: Birra, the pizza and beer operation at 1700 E. Passyunk Ave.
11/7: Percy Street BBQ's outpost in the Comcast Center shops
11/7: M Kee, a duck house at 1002 Race St. in Chinatown
11/8: Chickie's & Pete's at 675 Shannondell Drive in Audubon, Pa.
11/9: Bravo Cucina's location in Willow Grove Park
11/10: Ulivo, Joe Scarpone's Italian at Passyunk and Catharine in Queen Village
11/11: Mad Mex's Willow Grove location (Moreland and Fitzwatertown Roads)
11/11: Ela, the modern American bar from Chip Roman and Jason Cichonski at Third and Bainbridge Streets
11/14: Bonefish Grill at 500 Oxford Valley Rd., Langhorne
11/21: The Bensalem Krispy Kreme
Stateside, the Green Eggs Cafe-led whiskey bar and small-plater under chef George Sabatino at 1536 E. Passyunk Ave.; an opening date should be set shortly.
American Sardine Bar at 18th and Federal Streets in Point Breeze, from Scott Schroeder and John Longacre of South Philly Tap Room.
Belle Cakery, the Passyunk Avenue sweet shop from Fond's Jessie Prawlucki; should open by Thanksgiving at Passyunk and Dickinson.
Honest Tom's Taco Shop, the storefront outpost of the taco truck at 261 S. 44th St.
Heirloom, an American restaurant at the top of Chestnut Hill from the Warmdaddy's crew, targeting Thanksgiving and featuring Al Paris in the kitchen.
Nomad Pizza just might open this month at 611 S. Seventh St., where Horizons was, but it's looking more like December.
320 Market Cafe's Media location is eyeing midmonth for 21 W. State St. This will be smaller than the Swarthmore original.
Hop Sing Laundromat, the bar at 1029 Race St. in Chinatown.
Forest & Main, the Ambler brewpub, has a shot at late November, too.
Of course, other projects can pop in. Know of any? Email me. (P.S. You're surely going to ask: The Vetri project Alla Spina, next to Starr's Route 6, is now up for January.)
I've plotted out the projected openings and recent arrivals on a handy-dandy map.
