TV meteorologists fret over snow all winter. Today, on what may be the warmest February day in some time, see how they call what may be a record high.

The forecasts for today on the morning shows:

  • 6ABC: 64

  • CBS3: 65

  • NBC10: 67

  • Fox29: 72

The National Weather Service says 66 and Accu-Weather says 64

Record for the day is 66, set in 1887.

Fox29's David Aldrich, who prepares the forecasts three days a week for Sue Serio, called the 70s a week ago.

The day's actual high was 69, so the closest to the pin was NBC10.

Of course they're calling for snow on Saturday.

Saturday's Punk Rock Flea Market is on hold after the city ordered the shutdown of the Starlight Ballroom yesterday. A source with the Department of License and Inspections said the owner had been thin ice -- but after new complaints surfaced after a fight last weekend, a cease-operation order came down.

Blaire Galaton, let go from Q102 when the Booker Show was canned, will do pop-culture breaks Thursday morning on My106's Logan show. She is expected to start about 7 a.m. It's a one-day fill-in, she says, adding that she found her headphones on Wednesday, and they were filled with dust already.

The Phillies are world champions and radio station Now 97.5 likens it to Christmas coming early. The station will start playing Christmas music starting Friday at 5 p.m. It has not been determined how long the yule tunes will last. Could this be the first station in Philly to go all-Christmas?

Ran into Shane Victorino last night outside of Rouge on Rittenhouse Square, where he was hanging unmolested. I asked him about PETA's plea that he renounce the Hawaiian delicacy Spam musubi. He chuckled and said, "It is what it is." Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.at the Forman Mills on Grant Avenue, east of Roosevelt Boulevard, Victorino will autograph Phillies gear purchased at the store.Expect no crowds or anything.
