After years of setting up restaurant deals from their Berwyn real estate office, Matt DiDomenico and his son, Michael, are taking a plunge into dining themselves.
Later this month or perhaps in early Aprill, they will open 30 Main, at Lancaster and Main Avenues in Berwyn. It's across from the Berwyn train station in the corner spot that previously was Main Line Café and Black Sheep Saloon. They're aiming for a city vibe (including piano in the lounge area), and hope to host business meetings and art and fashion shows in the event-friendly space.
They've imported Dan Ellliott - a classmate of Mike's and who more recently managed Rittemhouse Tavern and Hickory Lane - to set it up.
The chef hasn't been hired, so aside from the apple pie that's the specialty of Matt's wife, Dory, the food is not set.
