Federal Donuts - the coffee/doughnut/fried chicken shops now in South Philly and Rittenhouse - is on an opening tear.

It's going into Seventh Street and Fairmount Avenue (701 N. Seventh St.).

Just signed is a spot in University City, next to Doc Magrogan's Oyster House at 3428 Sansom St.

Both are penciled in for early 2014.
