The comfy-cozy Day by Day was one of the pioneers of the city brunch trade when it opened in 1981 at 21st and Sansom Streets.

Today (Feb. 18), Robin Barg and crew will roll back some prices to those halcyon days of Reagan. It's dine-in only.

Today's throwback specials are:

Salmon in phyllo with dill sour cream $7

Chicken liver pate with brandy and apples on black bread $7

Meatloaf $7

Croque monsieur $8

Egg salad with green olives $4

Scotch egg $7

Desserts also are throwback-priced through Friday:

Carrot cake $3

Sour cream apple apple $3

Chocolate mousse $3

Pecan pie $3

 

They're giving away bubbly and chocolate-dipped strawberries.
