Villanova University athletics announced Wednesday that it has signed a multi-year agreement to move its men's basketball and football broadcasts to WIP-AM (610).

The broadcasts kick off with the start of the basketball season on Nov. 9. Villanova football games will move to WIP-AM at the start of the 2013 season; the remainder of the current football schedule will continue on ESPN-AM (950).

WIP also will carry "Talking Villanova Basketball With Jay Wright," a weekly show with the Wildcats' coach that will begin in December, and a similar show with football coach Andy Talley starting in 2013.

The deal was reached in conjunction with IMG, the broadcast rights partner with the Wildcats' athletic department.

"We're so happy to welcome WIP to the Villanova family," Wright said. "WIP is a big part of the sports scene in Philly and we're excited to now be part of the team."
