You might be preparing to head to an incredibly important affair (2016 Democratic National Convention, anyone?). Maybe you’re not sure what to wear to your daughter’s wedding or you’re simply looking for the perfect outfit for that integral first date.

Whatever the reason, sometimes we all need a little stylish supervision, and whom better to seek suggestion from than local stylist Malika Barber. A full-time forensics case manager in Center City, Barber has a passion for fashion that quickly turned into a successful styling business that is preparing to go to the next step. On Sept. 6 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at The Continental Midtown Rooftop at 18th and Chestnut streets, MakeMeOverMalika will host a chic website launch cocktail party, and you’re invited.

“Styling to Malika is not just about fashion,” said a press release for the event. “It is [about] bringing out the individuals’ personality through their clothing and making women feel good about themselves.”

Tickets to the MakeMeOverMalika Launch Party are $45, available here and include hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, complimentary styling tips, advice from Malika, and prizes. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards, as there will be notable Philly fashion folks in the building. Cocktail attire is required for event entry and ticket sales end Sept. 1.
