Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr's wings clipped?

Supermodel Miranda Kerr is stepping down from her role as a Victoria's Secret Angel simply because she could not fully meet the demanding time commitments required of Angels.

The answer is yes, but it has very little to do with Miranda Kerr's reported "difficult" behavior.

The supermodel is stepping down from her role at Victoria's Secret because she could not meet the time commitments required of Angels. Sources told Page Six Thursday that discussions between the lingerie company and the super disintegrated last week after the company had asked Kerr to secure 3 months each year to promote Victoria's Secret exclusively.

The problem with this agreement is that Kerr, the wife of actor Orlando Bloom and mother of their 2-year-old son Flynn, has also signed contracts with companies like Mango. Like former angels and worldwide supermodels Heidi Klum and Gisele Bundchen, Kerr's modeling career has taken off in recent years and opened doors to other lucrative opportunities. The dimpled star's $1 million, 3-year contract with Victoria's Secret was not renewed based on her inability to meet the terms of agreement layed out by VS.

The model, however, is still slated to walk on the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway. With rumors involving Kerr's "difficult" behavior circulating the web on Wednesday, Victoria's Secret chief marketing officer Ed Razek quickly leapt to her defense, stating:

"Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business – and easily one of the most popular. She is also a consummate professional. While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we'd like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me. We have no plans to stop working with her. In fact, I've already invited her to walk the runway in this year's fashion show and, happily, she's agreed."

Well, there's that. Next!
