Vanity Fair to publish scathing article on Gwyneth Paltrow

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t too thrilled about an upcoming feature that will appear in Vanity Fair magazine.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow isn't too thrilled about an upcoming feature that will appear in Vanity Fair magazine.

According to the New York Times, Paltrow sent an email to friends back in May telling them not to deal with the publication ever. "Vanity Fair is threatening to put me on the cover of their magazine," she wrote in the email, according to NYT. "If you are asked for quotes or comments, please decline. Also, I recommend you all never do this magazine again."

What's the problem? Well apparently, the forthcoming article is "an epic takedown" of the actress that puts her in unfavorable light. The magazine's editor, Graydon Carter, spoke on the matter with The Times of London and revealed, "We started a story on her. We have a very good writer and it'll run ... She sort of forced my hand." He continued to preach that celebrities aren't safe from criticism any more and Carter is determined to get this piece out to the public.

So what is Paltrow so worried about? Some say it could have to do with her marriage to Coldplay rocker husband, Chris Martin, or her online lifestyle publication, Goop.

The magazine and Paltrow have yet to comment on the topic.
