Now these slippers are worthy of Cinderella.

The Daily Mail has discovered the most expensive shoes in the world - a pair of Kathryn Wilson pumps which cost £276,000, close to $500,000.

What makes these shoes so exquisite (and expensive) is that the handmade pumps are covered with 21.18 carats of diamonds and took more than 50 hours to create.

The item was specially-designed and crafted for the Ronald McDonald House children's charity auction. Click here to view the pumps.
