Ahead of Independence Day, a New York-based branding research firm, Brand Keys, released a survey published Tuesday by USA Today, ranking the country's "most patriotic" brands.

In fashion and lifestyle, these retailers made the cut.

- Levi Strauss (No. 4, 95%)
- Ralph Lauren (No. 9, 91%)
- L.L. Bean (No. 21, 82%)
- Wrangler apparel (No. 25, 80%)

The association of rugged American culture seemed to catapult one car company to the top of the list: Jeep lead the pack with a score of 98 out of 100. Other iconic brands to make the top five include- in chronological order- Hershey's, Coca-Cola and Walt Disney.
