Want to live the life of Jay Z, if only for thirty minutes? Once again, the RocPopShop is rolling through town this weekend for Made in America.
The pop-up, described in the release as "Jay-Z's upscale lounge and retail space," is a decked-out, 53-foot trailer that... wait for this, expands to 1,000 square feet. Housed in the trailer are Rocawear clothing and lifestyle items, an in-trailer Xbox station for gaming enthusiasts, and custom-designed furniture and air conditioning in case the heat, like last year, gets unbearable.
There's also music blaring from Jay Z's past albums and videos of his previous performances playing around the walls of the trailer. “The RocPopShop takes Rocawear to its fans and lets visitors interact with one of their favorite brands in a meaningful way,” says Tony Amato, President of MRA.
For those unfamiliar with the Rocawear brand, the New York-based clothing manufacturer was founded in 1999 by the founders of Roc-A-Fella Records - Damon Dash and Jay (then apostrophe) Z. Jay Z sold his rights to the company in 2007, but still holds a stake in Rocawear.
The pop-up will once again be parked within the festival's parameters.
