Saint Laurent is coming to King of Prussia

Philly is getting a dose of Hedi Slimane.

Saint Laurent Paris, the revamped brand formerly known as Yves Saint Laurent, is coming to King of Prussia Mall. Although it was reported that Saint Laurent was slated to open July 1, Simon Malls announced this week the store will open this fall, in time for fans of the brand to shop YSL's Autumn/Winter 2013 collection of boho-chic dresses and floppy Stetson hats.

Just last week, Saint Lauren Paris announced a costume collaboration with Daft Punk, adding the electro-pop pair to Slimane's Music Project, which includes Marilyn Manson, Kim Gordon and Courtney Love. On Wednesday, the New York Times penned a piece chronicling Slimane's first year as Creative Director of the iconic fashion brand. Despite an initially frosty reception from the industry and harsh reviews from critics over his debut collection, the publication reports, "Yet store buyers have fallen all over themselves to be the first to stock Mr. Slimane's designs, which they say have been selling briskly this spring, despite some problems with deliveries."

A standalone store located in one of America's largest shopping malls, then, should be a good move for Slimane's Saint Laurent. It will be located on the lower level of the Plaza right near Neiman Marcus.

More to come.
