Philly is full of fashion events this fall

Fall in Philadelphia promises to be one big fashion show.

Fall in Philadelphia promises to be one big fashion show.

The fifth annual Philadelphia Collection kicks off in September and comes with enough events to keep you busy throughout the month. The Philadelphia Collection was founded by the Center City District, the City of Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Retail Marketing Alliance and was designed to bring local retailers and fashion entities to the forefront.

With a week of 45 events from the Macy's Fall Fashion Show to the XIX Most Fashionable Women in Philadelphia, here is just a taste of what this stylish September has to offer.

Macy's Fall Fashion Show: The Philadelphia Incubator is a collaboration with Macy's Center City launched in part by Mayor Nutter that was designed to promote local designers through a designers-in-residence program. Macy's Fall Fashion Show will feature designs from this year's six designers-in-residence which include Philadelphia University graduate Jovan O'Connor, and Victoria Wright. The Macy's Fall Fashion Show starts at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Macy's Center City at 1300 Market Street.

Philadelphia Fashion Show from Italy: One of the fashion capitals of the world makes its way to Philadelphia via the Philadelphia-based Italian Uomo Moderno fashion magazine. The fashion show features up-and-coming Italian designers like haute couture designer Nico Didonna and avant-garde designer Malph. Two Philadelphia Eagles players will be featured as guest male models, Valentina Raffaelli will provide musical entertainment, and Chef Luke Palladino will serve up antipasti. The Sept. 19 event starts at 7 p.m. at 1023 Clinton St. Tickets start at $25.

FBH Presents Philly Fashion Week Ready to Wear Runway Show: The annual Philadelphia Fashion Week ready-to-wear show takes place on Friday, Sept. 19 this year from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. Designers featured in the show include Native NY, GLeon and Steve Boi. Tickets to the show, which takes place at the Crane Arts Building on 1400 American St., are $40 for general admission and $80 for VIP.

Eagles Watch Party and Philly Phaithful Line Release: Philly Phaithful is a sports apparel manufacturing company based in Northern Liberties. So it only makes sense that the company's new line would be debuted at an Eagles watch party. On Sept. 21 from noon until 4 p.m. at the Philly Phaithful showroom on 737 N. 4th St., join the Philly Phaithful team with other sports-loving fashion folks and enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks.

Fashion Under the Shambles: On Sept. 23 at 200 Pine St., Philly boutiques and salons will unite to create a unique collaboration of fashion and beauty. Fashion Under the Shambles will showcase men and women street style and is hosted by America's Next Top Model finalist Cory Wade Hindorff. Free admission is standing room only. However, seats and other accommodations are provided with the purchase of a $25 VIP ticket. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.
