People names its 'World's Best Dressed Woman of 2013'

Kerry Washington, ladies and gentlemen, tops her crazy successful year with a best dressed stamp of approval from People magazine.

The 36-year-old, who last captured media attention in July after news her secret marriage to former Eagle Nnamdi Asomugha stunned fans, is coming off several fashion magazine covers including landing a coveted spread with Elle.

She tops a list that includes stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Solange Knowles and Kate Bosworth.

"I don't wear a lot of pants," Washington confessed in a statement. "When I go somewhere I want to know I'm going to be comfortable and I'm dressed for the event."
